Allegations of Kogi Journalist Killer Died

Mr. Jacob Adebayo Pelumi, who is suspected of killing a photo journalist, Mr. Come on Ayepku, allegedly committed suicide.

A spokesman for the State Police Command, Williams Ovye-Waya, revealed this to journalists on Thursday at Lokoja.

He said Pelumi’s body was found in a hotel room in Lokoja, a few hours after the police launched the hunt for him on Wednesday.

The spokesman said: “Hotel management tells us Thursday morning to the corpse lying in one of the rooms.

“After responding, we found that the desired suspect in connection with the alleged killing of photo journalists.

“We found a suicide record and a bottle of insecticide sniper next to his bed in a hotel room.”

Pelumi’s corpse has been stored at the University of Federal Hospital, Lokoja, for autopsy to determine the actual causes of death.

Ovye-Waya said that Ayep was killed horribly on Tuesday night at an office near the government/Gra area in Lokoja.

He said the Hilux vehicle allegedly used by Pelumi had been found and had been parked at the “A” division station.

The deep freezer found in the vehicle has also been detained by the police.

He added that efforts to find Ayep my body were ongoing.
