Disruptive video footage has been shared on a social media platform that shows when the kidnappers of two children and points-off officers (POS) tortured and well-examined in the forest in a place that is said to be the state of Kwara.
This is after their family failed to pay the ransom of N50 million which was demanded by criminals.
In the video recording, which has been trending since Thursday, one of the kidnappers was seen using a stick to defeat the prisoners repeatedly in what was seen as a hiding place in the forest, while the victims who looked thin and exhausted shouted in pain and begging for help from the Nigerian government and the public.
According to reports, the victims, who were popular post agents identified as Y-Man, were kidnapped at the end of June together with others in a wave of kidnapping that had infected the country, and children remained in captivity for more than a month because of their families’ inability to pay large ransoms.
A relative of the postal operator who spoke to reporters reportedly said: “They demanded that N50 million before they could release it. We have sold land and all the valuable properties to collect this money and we have even issued a leaflet to call for donations. Unfortunately, the government and security operators did nothing to save them.”

Family members also condemned the psychological torture experienced by the victims, describing the latest videos as heartbreaking and inhumane.
He also stated that the kidnappers had hijacked Tiktok and WhatsApp accounts, using it to post disturbing content and issued threats to the families of the victims.
“He has used Yman’s telephone number to contact us. He even used the WhatsApp path to send us Y-Man’s video crying and asked for help because of hunger and torture. Now, they have hijacked the Tiktok account and their stretches confidently upload videos from their hiding places.
“Bandits did not even cover his face. He did this because he knew the Nigerian government and security operators could not track it. This country was over,” complained.
