Ekong scores his first goal in Qatar

Former Super Eagles captain William Ekong scored his first goal for Qatari club Al Ahli Doha.

Ekong restored visiting Al Ahli’s lead in the 59th minute against leaders Al Gharafa to make it 2-1.

The 32-year-old central defender has so far made six league appearances for his new club in Qatar.

His club ended up winning 4-1.

It was a crucial victory as they now sit 10th in the standings with 19 points from as many games, one point outside the relegation zone.
