Ancelotti won his first win as a Brazilian World Cup who met the requirements

Carlo Ancelloti secured his first victory as the Brazilian national team coach when they qualified for the 2026 World Cup.

Brazil sealed their place in Mundial with a 1-0 victory against Paraguay in South America qualifiers.

Real Madrid striker Vinicius JR scored winning goals from close range in the second half, finished after a good job from Matheus Cunha.

“We need to win and qualify for the World Cup,” said Vinicius Jr.

“Now the coach will have more time to work. Of course today is not one of our best performances, but the important thing is to always win.

“Now is the time to celebrate qualifications.”

The victory, the first Ancelotti after a 0-0 draw against Ecuador on his debut last week, means Brazil has now qualified for each World Cup edition.

Elsewhere, the Argentine World Cup holder drew 1-1 with Colombia in Buenos Aires.
