An All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, Joe Igbokwe, has condemned the increase in electricity tariffs.
Igbokwe, a key supporter of President Bola Tinubu’s government, in a post on his Facebook page on Sunday, warned that the electricity tariff hike would kill businesses in the country if the Federal Government refused to reverse it.
He wrote:
“PBAT, please take note of the new electricity tariff in Nigeria. This tariff will kill businesses if the government does not act as soon as possible. I have a small office in Surulere with about 7 air conditioners.

“We used to buy over 300 units for N20,0000. Yesterday we bought a unit worth N20,000 and it lasted only one day. They call it band A group. I pray that we review this.”
However, the post drew some responses from Nigerians who slammed him for his previous comments in which he gave his support to Tinubu’s policies and slammed anyone who complained about them.
While others told him to enjoy the change because he was one of those people who didn’t see anything wrong with themselves.
