At the AMSSRN INT conference, the Don Harps University on the sponsorship of research

Nigerian governments at all levels and the management of tertiary institutions have been invited to make the sponsorship of research a priority for effective national development.

Dr. Gideon Ezu made the call to the Imo State University, keeping a conference open to the 4th International Conference of the Association of Researchers of Management Sciences and Nigerian Social Sciences (AMSSRN).

Dr. Ezu has accused governments at all levels of making the sponsorship of research part of their key mandate in order to develop the academic institutions of the nation considered hub for national development.

Dr. Ezu, deputy director, Nnamdi Azikiwe Business School, Awka, has also accused members of AMSSRN and research institutes in the country to exploit technological innovations to promote their research results.

Speaking on the Topic, “Issues Involution in Application of Digital Technology in Research: Nigeria Experience Strategies” he noted that “To Foster and Facilitati Innovation in Research, Educational Institutions and Research Institutes Must Invest Heavily in Digital Technologies (DTS), Which Most Studies Have Considered to Encompass a Wide Range of Information and Communication Technologies, Including Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Digital Platforms, Cloud Computing, 3D Printing, Blockchain Technology, etc.

“The government at all levels should give priority to the sponsorship of research to promote national development. This is because no government makes significant progress without research. It is therefore essential that the government and the management of our tertiary institutions must make the sponsorship of research part of their key mandate.

“When you go to European academic institutions, the research is sponsored by the government or by its agency invested by the mandate because they believe that the product of any research is to improve national growth. Our leaders must imbalance this virtue.

“All of you who have collected here for this conference, as a researcher, should be urged, you should create integrative digital solutions capable of connecting with other digital systems, developing intuitive digital systems. Artificial intelligence is the digital research factor and AMSSRN should be the pioneers in this regard,” he said.

In his vote of thanks, the president, local organizing committee, dr. Leonard Amaefufer, thanked the IMSU vice-changing for his support and appreciated participants who showed up for the conference.

“On behalf of the members of the Loc and the AMSSRN manager, I want to express our gratitude to the management of the IMO State University under the guidance of the deputy chief, Professor Uchefufla Ugonna Chukwumaeze (San) for her immense support and leadership AMSSRN supported by the indefidable professor Lucy Uche Onyekwelu.

“For all participants and paper presenters, there is no doubt that the conference was enriching. The two days spent in IMSU, have been productive and we believe that the result of the conference will stimulate us to achieve more through research,” he said.
