To deride the apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, the founder of the Apostolic Church of Christ (CAC), the Biodun Fatoyinbo shepherd of the Commonwealth of Sion Assembly (Coza) is already faced.
Fatoyinbo, during a widespread sermon on YouTube, presumably said that Babalola was scarce, despite being highly greased, and he questioned where his children were.
In a quick response, the director of the CAC advertising, the shepherd Alawode, would have nothing of this.
He described Fatoyinbo’s statement as non -biblical, incorrect, inaccurate, misleading and insensitive.
Below is Alawode’s statement:
“Dear Shepherd Biodun Fatoyinbo, greeting you in the name of Our Lord and Salvatore, Jesus Christ. Usually, we do not respond to comments or controversies on social media. However, we consider it necessary to face your recent statements, which have been widely spread on your social media platforms, for the following three reasons:
1. Scriptural justification – The Bible allows us to respond wisely to madness to prevent arrogance (Proverbs 26: 5).
2
3 In one of your trendy messages on YouTube, you recognized that the Apostle Babalola was highly greased but “had no money”, and then he continued to ask sarcastically, “Where are his children?” -A question that it was both insensitive and poorly informed.
Equiliously anointing or ministerial success with material wealth is biblically imperfect. The words of Jesus are clear: “Be careful and pay attention to the friendship, since one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses”. – Luke 12:15. However, your teachings suggest the opposite. In this way, promote what the Bible refers to Simony: the monetization of spiritual gifts (acts 8: 18–24).
The Scriptures do not teach that money is a sign of anointing. Rather, “love for money is the root of all types of evil” (1 Timothy 6:10).
From which Bible do you read and preach? On the question of the children of Apostle Babalola who ethically speak, Apostle Babalola had children.
Simple arithmetic should help you understand that they would now have advanced in age – perhaps the age of the grandparents. What did you hope to get with the Beffarda question, “Where are the children of Baffalola?”
Your statement reflects more on the type of company you keep, but as a preacher of the word, your conduct and the expressions should not be guided by writing? In what thing in the Bible originates your brand of prosperity theology – one that diminishes people not to be rich? Such a message encourages the greed, corruption and lack of God, especially in a nation that already struggles with moral decay?
Establish the direct record for reasons of truth and posterity, let me correct the public misrepresers you made on the apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola:
1. Call: Apostle Babalola was called by God on 10 October 1928, at the age of 24. His ministry crossed western and Midwest Nigeria and extended to the Gold Coast (now Ghana), marked by undeniable signs and wonders.
2 He gave lands to the Church, supported the education of many, nourished the poor and lived sacrificedly. He hosted more people than his biological children. When Queen Elizabeth II visited Nigeria in February 1956, Apostle Baffalola was among the honored guests. Would such a recognition be granted to a man in a colonial government? Certainly not. It was not a fundraiser, yet God provided his needs. His diaries are full of divine provisions such as: “Ipese Olorun Loni: £ 100.00, £ 50.00 …” He lived in a suitable house, guided one of the best Jeep Ford of his time and financed the weddings, education and apprenticeship programs – all without exploiting the pulpit.
3 They are not noisy, ostentatious or greedy.
4 More than 66 years after his death, his legacy continues to inspire and bless countless lives and ministries. This is a real impact.
Let me ask you a question: when Peter said in acts 3: 6, “Silver and gold I don’t have …” – was it still anointed or not? I let you pond.
5 “Since the kingdom of God is not eating and drinks, but justice, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 14:17. Jesus taught: “Anyone who wishes to be great among you, let it be your servant … just like the son of man was not served, but to serve”. – Matteo 20: 25–28. Once again, “be careful and be careful of brady, since life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses”. – Luke 12:15. May God give us all the grace to rightly divide the word of truth and to walk in humility, in reverence and in divine wisdom “.
