In a bold move towards the deepening of Nigeria-China relations through the media cooperation, a delegation from the press agency Xinhua, the African headquarters, on Monday, visited the headquarters of the BluePrint Newspapers Limited.
The team, led by Mr. Huang Wei, deputy director of the head of the African Regional Bureau of Xinhua, included Mr. Nie Zuguo, head of the Kampala office; Mr. Zhou Nan, marketing manager for Africa; And Mr. Yang Zhe, head of the Nigeria office.
Huang Wei praised the project for synergy with the Xinhua news agency in the unloading of professional journalistic practice and asked for a greater partnership to expand the friendship of Nigeria with China.
He explained the interest of his media organization of promoting stronger ties with the project in particular and Nigeria in general, and asked for the sustenance of mutual synergy.
By welcoming visitors, the CEO/CEO of Blueprint Newspapers, Alhaji Salisu Umar, described the relationship between the two organizations as one of the Siamese twins, underlining the need for continuous collaboration.
The MD has ensured the delegation of the incrullable support of Blueprints, stating that the company’s solid and online platforms remain open to amplify Xinhua’s activities all over the world, including the strengthening of Nigeria-China relationships.
“We are not just partner, we are as brothers. There is no longer a need for introduction because we are already friends. Your progress is our progress,” said Umar, underlining the availability of Blueprint to support Xinhua’s initiatives through a strengthened editorial cooperation and shared objectives.
However, Alhaji Umar added that the visit served to “awaken and strengthen a long -standing partnership between the two institutions”, stating that any investment in the relationship is mutually advantageous.
The editorial director of the outfit, Mr. Clem Oluwole, he echoed Alhaji Umar’s opinions, describing the visit as a return home and praised the lasting collaboration between the two organizations.
He observed that the project, reached its 14th year of uninterrupted service, is committed to providing quality journalism and promoting global media cooperation, in particular with credible institutions such as Xinhua to encourage stronger bilateral relationships.
“This is your second home. Our editorial policy supports the supply of first -rate services and the partnerships that raise journalism and promote international understanding,” said Oluwole.
Abdulrahman A. Abdulrauf, who modifies the flagship media organization, reiterated that Blueprint and Xinhua have worked for a long time to promote mutual interests between Nigeria and China. “The media play an important role to play in strengthening bilateral bonds. Let the relationship continues, let it last lasting,” he said.
In addition, Hamid Lawal, production editor has questioned collaboration through the development of staff skills. He underlined that the continuous partnerships would not have only promoted cross -border understanding, but would also increase professional standards in African journalism.
