Maiduguri (basic reporter) Governor of the Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, MNI, approved the appointment of Colonel Yahaya Gambo (RTD) as coordinator of the Civil Joint Task Force of the State of Borno (CJTF).

A declaration by the secretary to the state government, Bukar Tijani, states that the appointment of a coordinator for the Civil Task Force (CJTF) aims to improve the efficiency of the strength to support the fight against the insurrection and consolidate the relative peace that is enjoyed throughout the state.

The new coordinator is a retired army colonel that comes from the local government of Kaga with vast experience in security. Colonel Yahaya Gambo (RTD) has experience in the management of risks, in the resolution of conflicts, in the management of catastrophes and in the psychological emergency room.

He has achieved several military and security certifications, including intelligence courses, tactical operations and executive management, such as the Chief of Staff of the Intelligence Support Command in Lagos. Colonel Gambo (RTD) has held significant roles such as Chief Security Officer of Dangote Fertilizer Limited since 2018.

The declaration added that the coordinator will operate pursuant to the Ministry of Information and internal security.
