Champions League: Arsenal and Atletico draw in the first leg

Super Eagles striker Ademola Lookman was in action for Atletico Madrid as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Arsenal in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie.

The Gunners beat Sporting in the last eight, while Atletico knocked out Barcelona in a match filled with controversy.

Viktor Gyokeres won and scored a penalty for Arsenal just a minute before halftime after he went down due to a foul from David Hancko.

But Julian Alvarez equalized the score 11 minutes into the second half with a penalty awarded following a video review by the assistant referee.
