The report states that the inspector Enang, originally from Ekori, area of the local government of Yakurr of Cross River State, was attacked to the Akim Police Division in Calabar.
According to Eyewitness who spoke with Vanguard, the inspector, who was a passionate fan of Arsenal, was visibly euphoric during the game.
One of his closest friends, who attended the accident and asked for anonymity, told the shocking Momen Ast.
“We were watching the game in a visual center in Abang-Aasang Street. He was of great mood: healthy, happy, encouraging every goal. The Arsenal scored the first, second and third goals, and was very happy.
“It jumped for the excitement several times. But after the final whistle, when everyone started starting, we noticed that Stephen was not raising like the rest of us. It was when we realized that something was wrong.” he said.
According to the witness, Enang had collapsed on the seat and did not respond. He was immediately brought to the Akim Police Hospital, where the medical staff made hectic efforts to relaunch him. Unfortunately, he was declared dead shortly after arrival.
