Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin FC Director of Football, Chief Alloy Chuwuemeka, has described the three-year sponsorship deal worth ₦50 million between the Kwara State Football Association and Flow FM/Stefolga as a defining moment in the history of football development in the state.
During the official opening ceremony on Tuesday, Chuwuemeka expressed delight at what he called a bold and timely investment in grassroots football, noting that the initiative will open new opportunities for young talents and stakeholders across Kwara.
“It is a great pleasure to be part of this development in the history of Kwara football,” he said, while praising Engineer Sani and Flow FM for their commitment to the growth of the game.
According to him, the sponsorship goes beyond financial support and serves as a platform for Kwara youths and football stakeholders to build a stronger and more competitive football structure. He emphasized that such interventions are critical in shaping the future of the youth not only in the state but across Nigeria.
Chuwuemeka further highlighted the long-term benefits of the deal and expressed optimism that it would usher in a new era of success for Kwara football.
“With this kind of investment, we see a brighter future for Kwara football. We will not only celebrate successes in the FA Cup but also start competing for other major honours, including league titles,” he said.
He also took the opportunity to ask all stakeholders to make the most of the platform provided, highlighting the need for unity and commitment to drive the game forward.
“I recommend all stakeholders to maximize this opportunity so that we can grow football in Kwara State to the highest level,” he added.
