Coas orders an immediate probe of viral videos on food troops
Abuja (basic reporter) annoyed by the recent alleged video of the Nigerian army troops showing food products presumably sent by their highest command, suggesting that the dissatisfaction with the quality and quantity of food products, the head of the army (CoA), the lieutenant general Olufemi Oluyede has ordered an in -depth and detailed investigation into the circumstances that surround the accident.
This was contained in a declaration by the director of Interim Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Apolonia Alele who was made available to basic journalists on Thursday 24 July 2025.
The declaration said: “The attention of the Nigerian army was attracted, with maximum concern, to a video that circulates widely on social media and collected by some mainstream media platforms. The video shows some staff members showing food products presumably sent by their highest command, suggesting the dissatisfaction with the quality and quantity of food.
“While the authenticity and context of the video have yet to be fully ascertained, the Nigerian army wishes to ensure to the public in general and to all the staff that the question is treated with the gravity that deserves. Consequently, the head of the army (CoA), the lieutenant general Olufermi, has ordered an in -depth and detailed investigation on the circumstances that surround his accident.
