Judge Maryann Anenih from the Federal Capital High Court (FCT) in Maitama on Tuesday was repaired July 17 for a decision on a travel application submitted by the former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello.
The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) charged a former governor for alleged fraud N110 billion.
He was charged with the accusations of 16 fraud calculations with two government officials-Abduls experienced Hudu and Umar Oricha.
The commission accused that the defendants used funds from the Kogi State Finance Department to obtain property in the high eyebrow area in FCT and in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
On Tuesday continued, the advisor to former governor. Joseph Daudu (San), told the court about the application submitted on June 20 asking permission for his clients to travel abroad to get medical attention.

“This is looking for an order for the exemption of the defendant’s international passport/applicant by the registrant to enable him to travel for medical treatment,” he said.
However, EFCC opposed the application.
The commission believes that the provision of demand can delay further process.
This also illustrates the application as a misuse of court proceedings because similar applications are submitted at the Federal High Court, Abuja.
After listening to both parties, the Anenih judge postponed this case until July 17 to decide the application.
