Dangote refinery slash ex-depot price by n40

Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Plant have announced the reduction in ex-depot prices per liter of gasoline from ₦ 880 to ₦ 840.

The lower review of the premium commodity price was confirmed in the update provided on the X platform on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

Dangote Group Spokesman, Mr. Anthony Chiejina, confirmed the price adjustment in Lagos, which stated: “PMS prices have been reduced from the N880 to the N840 per liter which is effective 30 June.”

The previous increase to the N880 per liter had followed the volatility of the global crude oil market, especially during the 12 -day geopolitical crisis in the Middle East, which pushed the price of crude oil up to almost $ 80 per barrel.

Existing refinery partners – MRS, Heyden, Ardova (AP), Hyde, Optima, and Techno Oil – are expected to reflect new prices at their retail outlets.

In addition, several new marketing companies have joined the Dangote distribution network. The dangote refinery, the largest single train refinery in the world, continues to expand its domestic fuel distribution traces, offers competitive prices and increase access to processed products in Nigeria.

The refinery, recently, announced that they had invested more than the N720 billion to implement their initiatives to mobilize 4,000 compressed natural gas-powered trucks for the distribution of oil products nationally, by saying it was expected to save Nigerians of more than N1.7 trillion per year.

Starting August 15, Dangote will start direct delivery of gasoline and diesel to the filling station, industrial facilities, and other high volume consumers, the company said before.
