The arrest was disclosed on Sunday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, in a statement made available to journalists in Warri.

According to Edafe, officers of the CP-SAT unit acted on intelligence on October 16, 2026, by raiding Ujode Community in Ughelli North, where an alleged syndicate of armed robbers was operating.

He said, “On October 16, 2026, CP-SAT operatives, acting on credible intelligence regarding the activities of a suspected armed robbery syndicate terrorizing Ujode Community in Ughelli North LGA, raided the area and arrested one Thankgod Ejakpomewhe, aged 29.”
