Dikko insists that Kida’s appointment will improve the sports reform

The president of the National Sports Commission Mallam Shehu Dikko on Tuesday hosted the recently appointed president of NNPCL, Engr. Musa Kida. The resolutions revolved around mutually advantageous issues for both sides, especially the progress of sport.

While congratulating Engr. Kida, who is also the president of Nigeria Basketball Federation, on his appointment, Mallam Dikko has seized the opportunity to highlight how his current position can positively erase on the sports economy. The president of the NSC has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for once again inserted a round pain in a round hole.

Mallam Dikko said: “The president has always shown this talent to identify the right people for each specific assignment. I have known the organ. Kina long enough to know that it will excel in this assignment. Once it highlights the quality of the leadership that we need in the sports federations. Sports people. Company world and in fact sports, without a doubt it adapts to this vision.”

According to Dikko, Kida’s appointment adds to the growing list of sports administrators who are considered worthy of higher responsibilities in society in private or public sectors.

“Honestly, this demonstrates the quality of the people who manage sport in this country. People who are considered worthy of holding key positions even outside of sport. Consider artists of the caliber of Hon. Silas Agara, former deputy governor of Nasarawa and currently the national DG employment direction. He is president of the Karate Federation of Nigeria and is so well.

“Simon Nkom, DG Nigeria Mining Cadesstre Office is the president of Nigeria Hockey Federation. His gigantic steps in Hockey are well documented. The former National Director of the PWC Uyi Akpata has made giant steps in his period of time as president of the Nigeria Cricket Federation. He brought the Nigerian cricket for the level in which we can now put ourselves in favor of the Africans.

“In the same way we can see the impact of someone as Bisi Adbocutu in the progress of cycling, and above all, we can see what the Minister of Finance and the Coordination of the Minister of Economy of Mr. Wale Edu in Boxing and sports of the Mattiva is doing. In fact, it is quite exciting to see the Minister of Finance/Cme and the President of the Board of Directors of the NNPCL.

Mallam Dikko believes that Kida’s appointment will encourage greater involvement of the private sector in the sports ecosystem.

“This appointment will put sports on the front burner. We can all see what is doing with Nigerian basketball. This will surely rub on our sports. The private sector will be based more with sport now, a development that will help this vision of the sports economy and we cannot thank the president Tinubu for this appointment”, he added.
