The DPR has postponed the resumption of the plenary session on September 24.
The Green Chamber was originally scheduled to reconvene after its annual break on September 17.
The Senate and House resume their break on July 23.
House of Representatives spokesman Akin Rotimi announced the new date in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
He said that legislators held special outreach programs to their constituencies during the holidays.

Rotimi said: “During the recess period, the honorable Members were actively involved in outreach to all constituents in the country, handling various important issues of concern to constituents and deepening supervision of Ministries, Departments and Institutions in accordance with the functions outlined in the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and the Standing Regulations of the DPR.
“The DPR leadership will inaugurate the new ranks of the Public Complaints Commission and the Joint Senate/DPR Special Committee on the Investigation of the Oil Industry on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. Further details regarding these activities will be announced in a plenary meeting on the day the session resumes.”
“As the 10th Assembly resumes, the Assembly will continue to pursue its legislative agenda, with a focus on impactful reforms aimed at national development and fulfilling its mandate to the Nigerian people.”
