D’Tigress booked their place in the FIBA women’s Fibasket final of 2023 after blocking Senegal 75-68 in a semifinal bite for nails at the Palais des Sports de Treichville, in Ivory Coast.

The victory keeps the dream of Nigeria alive to become the first African team to win five consecutive Afrobasket titles.

Senegal began brilliantly, running for an advantage of 11-2 within the first three minutes of the opening neighborhood. But D’Acress mounted a quick response, going to 13-0 to take an advantage of 14-11 before closing the fourth in advance, 22-17.
