Easter: Tinubu Felicita Christians, reassures the Nigerians on security – Thage

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Christians in Nigeria and all over the world while commemorating Easter, describing the opportunity as a celebration of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the cornerstone of the Christian faith.

In his 2025 Easter message personally signed on Friday, Tinubu urged Christians to reflect on the lasting values ​​of sacrifice, redemption, love and hope.

“Just as Christ triumphed for death, so even our country triumphs on every challenge we face. The present moment could be cloudy, but it will be released on a glorious day,” the president assured.

Facing recent security challenges, Tinubu expressed sadness for the loss of lives in some parts of the country and has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration in restoring peace and stability. He revealed that he had issued clear directives for the armed forces and security agencies to act decisively.

“I understand the pain and I’m afraid that these accidents have caused. Let me make sure that the decision of my administration to restore peace and security remains adamant,” said Tinubu.

The president praised the courage of the nation security staff, observing that the country was making constant progress in claiming peace and stability.

He also recognized the economic challenges that the Nigerians must face, ensuring that his administration worked tirelessly to restore the trust of investors, stabilize the key sectors and build an inclusive economy.

“We are grateful to all the Nigerians for your patience and resilience while our economy begins to show encouraging signs of recovery,” he said.

Tinubu also joined the global Christian community by thanking God for the healing of Pope Francis, praying that the renewed strength of the pontiff continues to inspire his leadership and his service to humanity.

The president urged the Nigerians to remain confident, united and resolved in the pursuit of national progress.

“The task in front of us is enormous, but together, with faith and determination, there is no obstacle that we cannot overcome. Our unity and resilience are our greatest strengths,” he said.

He prayed that the Easter season filled every heart and home with renewed faith and optimism, wishing all the Nigerians a peaceful and prosperous celebration.

“Happy Easter to all my Nigerian companions,” concluded Tinubu.
