Chairman of the National Election Commission (KPU), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, revealed this in an extraordinary meeting with political parties regarding the election in Abuja, Thursday.

He said the exercise would be led by former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (ret.).

Yakubu said: “You may have noticed that unlike previous peace agreements which were signed a few days before the election, the KPU decided to do it earlier this time.

He said that not a single political party had conveyed the dates and locations of the parades and large campaign rallies to the KPU so that campaign activities could be better coordinated.

“The installation and configuration of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines that will be used on election day have been completed. Observer accreditation labels are being produced,” said the KPU Chairman.
