Monday Governor Okpebholo from the state of Edo has expressed concern over the slow performance of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) in the ongoing selection for the Edo Central Senatorial District.
The governor spoke shortly after giving his voice on Saturday in Bangsal 2, Polling 1 Unit, Udomi Elementary School, in the Esan Central Government area.
When describing the process as peaceful, Okpebholo noted that the BVAS engine deployed by the Independent National Election Commission (Inec) caused unnecessary delays.
“Well, I just chose. You can see frustration. BVA is too slow. It takes too long before you can be accredited. I think Inec needs to see this. So far, it is very good, the report I get is good,” he told reporters.

Apart from his concern, the governor praised Inec for the overall behavior of the exercise and urged voters in all senator districts to get out in large quantities and protect their voices.
“The process is smooth here and the report I got from other regions in this district is also smooth. Inec is fine. I urge voters to go out to vote and maintain their votes,” he said.
The selection of interruptions is needed by vacancies made after the emergence of Okpebholo as Governor of Edo State.
