EFCC asked two men for alleged ownership of fake $ 889K

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has begun an investigation of the activities of two men suspected of being found with $ 899,800 in fake currencies. In the state canoe.

In a statement about X on Saturday, the commission said the suspects were arrested by the operators of the National Narcotics Law Enforcement Agency (Ndlea) along Jalan Maiduguri in Wudil, Kano.

EFCC added that the two men were traveling in a commercial 3 golf car to Kila Village in Gwarram Lga from Jigawa State when they were arrested.

“After the search, the Ndlea team found alleged fake notes hidden in the Bintang Maggi spice carton. The suspect and the exhibition were then handed over to EFCC for further investigation,” the statement said.

“The suspects, who were identified as Abubakar Hussaini and Sahabi Adamu, are currently in EFCC detention.

“The initial findings revealed that the suspects transported counterfeit currencies to Kila Village to meet with one Muhammad Walo, who would introduce them to Mallam Mashiru, a spiritualist who proclaimed himself who claimed to be able to ‘change’ fake dollars into real currencies through ritual prayers.”
