The Economic and Financial Crimes Eradication Commission (KPK) has again warned comedians and drama makers not to use uniforms and other operational equipment without permission in their productions.
In a statement issued on Monday, the commission warned that any unauthorized use of uniforms would be severely punished from now on.
The anti-graft agency noted that an old video titled: βEFCC and Army Wahalaβ is circulating again on social media and does not portray it in a good light.
The statement read: βThis, once again, compels the EFCC to reiterate its warning to charlatans and other social workers to desist from illegal and irresponsible use of the Commissionβs operational equipment.

βThe EFCC and Army Wahala are a caricature of the EFCCβs operational ethics. The shameful characterization of alleged members of the Commission in the video terrorizing the βsuspectsβ is not only shameful but also indicative of a deliberate attempt to tarnish the image of the EFCC.
βEFCC officers are not bullies. They are trained as modern law enforcement officers who are virtuous, have decency and respect for the public, including suspects of economic and financial crimes.
