‘Enough is enough’, Tinubu reads Riot Act to NSA, head service for the murder

President Tinubu Bola has read Riot Act to Nigerian security agents including National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu thousand, and the Head of Services to crack down and shed insecurity in the country following a wave of violence and murder in the highlands, benues and the states of Kwara by bandits and unknown people.

Tinubu, who gave an order to line up after a meeting with the heads of security at the presidential villa in Abuja on Wednesday, ordered a total overhaul of Nigeria’s security strategy.

In a statement issued by the advisor, especially for the president about information and strategy, Bayo onanuga, Tinubu demanded a security institution to apply and label the murder that is currently raging in several parts of the country, emphasizing that “enough is enough.”

Thousands who also spoke to the state DPR correspondent at the end of the meeting, said President Tinubu had directed a new approach to overcoming insecurity throughout the country.

“Mr. President gave us the opportunity to come and tell him again. It lasted very long. We gave him an update about what was happening,” NSA said.

“Today, we have the opportunity to come and tell him again, and it lasts for hours. That is a very detailed briefing, and that is complete.

“The problem of insecurity is often not only at a higher level. This involves subunits. They are people who directly with people, especially when some challenges border community problems.

“We need to work with the community. We need to work with local governments, and we need to work with the governor.

“The president directs that we work more with the governor. The president is very worried and concerned about the meeting.

“He said, ‘enough already’. We work to ensure that we restore peace and security.

“We all held a meeting with the president, armed forces, police and intelligence communities,” NSA added.
