The suspicions, operating in the Nissan vehicle, had kidnapped the victim in his Jeep Mercedes after shooting sporadically in the residential area of ​​the government (Gra) of Enugu at around 9:00 pm. Friday and subsequently brought him to an unknown position.

“The police commissioner, the CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, PSC, upon receipt of information on the accident, immediately mobilized operational and intelligence activities, directing the staff to ensure the victim’s safe rescue and the apprehension of the authors.

“Through coordinated efforts, the police officers followed the band to their hiding place in a valley inside the Ngwo area. He followed a gunfight, leading to the neutralization of one of the suspicions and the saved save of the victim.

“However, the suspicions had strongly transferred the sum of two million, two hundred and fifty thousand naira (₦ 2,250,000.00) from the victim’s account after initially requested a redemption of twenty million naira (₦ 20,000,000.00)”, the police spokesman, Daniel Ndukwe, made known in the release.
