Ex-avoy, island, congratulates Lasisi for the re-election as president of Ogun Tuc

Former high Nigerian commissioner in the United Kingdom, ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola, congratulated his partner Akeem Inhabitun Lasisi for his re -election as President of the Union Congress (TUC), State of Ogun.

Lasisi was returned without opposition on Thursday 21 August 2025, following the overwhelming support of the delegates who approved his leadership for another mandate.

In a message of congratulations personally signed by him, Isola described the victory as a testimony of the trust that Ogun’s workers rest in the style of leadership of Lasisi, who according to him was led by people and targeted.

According to the diplomat, the renewed mandate represents not only a victory in the vote, but a collective declaration of trust in the ability of the Labor leader to defend the rights of workers and support industrial harmony in the state.

“The strength of a union lies in the numbers he commands, but in the unit he supports and in the courage of his leadership. Referring overwhelmingly in office, the workers of the State of Ogun spoke with a single voice,” said Isola.

He added that the re -election was a “lighthouse of continuity” which would have further consolidated the role of work as a spine of democracy and social justice.

While praying for renewed wisdom and strength for the Labor leader, Isola expressed optimism on the fact that Lasisi’s second mandate would bring greater progress to the state workforce and would improve the dignity of work.
