FG insists on the December deadline for the eradication of waste in the civil service – Thage

The Federal Government, Tuesday, declared that the expiry of December for the implementation of electronic registers and the storage system (was) in all the ministries and government agencies remains sacrosanct.

The head of the Federation service, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, and the Minister of the Interior, dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, revealed it to the flag-off of the Ministry’s content management system in Abuja.

The electronic record and storage system is a digital platform created to promote governance without paper, improve transparency and responsibility and improve the provision of the service within the Ministry of the Interior.

The head of the Federation service, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, revealed that the Ministry of the Interior became the 18th Ministry to go live on the ECM platform, adding that you cannot return to the initiative oriented to guarantee optimization in the country’s civil service.

For his part, the Minister of the Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, underlined the need for technology to play his role in governance.

“Technology will never replace human ability, but it will improve it and make us more efficient,” he said.

The minister, who said that the Ministry’s citizenship and commercial department is now fully automated, said that citizenship questions, commercial permits or even marriage licenses can now be carried out online.

At the beginning of his welcome speech, the permanent secretary of the Ministry, Magdalena Ajani, underlined the commitment to ensure that the eras become reality.

The highest point of the occasion was the flag of the electronic registers and the storage system and the commissioning of the Ministry of the Tic of the Ministry.
