The defection of the members of a group of state political pressure of the Delta, the Delta Unity Group (Dug), in large numbers at the Congress All Progressives (APC), attracted the presence of the national president of the party, dr. The immediate former vice president of the Senate, the senator Ovie Omo-Agege, said that about 60 % of the members of the Democratic Party of the people (PDP) in the state of the Delta moved to the sentence of all the progressives of the congress (APC).

He told the Dug members that the party matters on them like those who deliver the elections, being the feet of the soldiers of democracy.
The secretary of the national advertising of the APC, Morka in its submission, said that “there was once in this neighborhood where it was a taboo to be a member of the EPC. We were despised but we never launched”, adding that “this defection is another commitment to expel the PDP from the state of Delta. This requires a dedication to a higher purpose, which means that we must do better than the PDP.”
The defection was convened by the founder of Dug and by the President of the Board of Directors of the NDDC, the Hon. Chiedu Ebie, whose highlight was the official reception of Dug members at the APC and the presentation of the party symbol by the national president of the APC.
