Gunmen kidnap Benue polyclinic rector and three others

Gunmen on Thursday kidnapped the acting rector of Benue Polytechnic, Ugbokolo, Dr. Emmanuel Barki, and three others.

The other victims were two management staff of the institution and their driver.

They were kidnapped along Otukpo-Otukpa Road after official duties in Makurdi, the state capital.

State police spokesperson Catherine Anene confirmed the kidnapping.

He said the command had initiated an investigation into the incident.
