Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Friday abducted 75-year-old Hauwa’u Adamu, mother of famous Hausa singer, “Dauda Kahutu Rarara” in Katsina State.

State police command spokesman Abubakar Aliyu said in a statement in Katsina that the woman was kidnapped at her residence in Kahutu, Danja local government area of ​​the state in the early hours of Friday.

He said: “Today, June 28, at around 1.30am, information was received at the Danja Police Headquarters, that some suspected kidnappers secretly invaded the residence of one Hauwa’u Adamu, 75 years old, in Kahutu village, Danja Region. government and kidnapped him.

“After receiving the report, DPO Danja immediately led an operations team to the scene to arrest the perpetrator and rescue the victim without injury.”

However, the kidnappers had already fled with the victim.

The spokesman said two suspects had been arrested for questioning regarding the matter.
