Handling corruption, the failure of the key government for Nigeria, the progress of Africa

The former presidential candidate of the Labor Party, Peter Obi, has reiterated that Nigeria – and Africa as a whole – can only develop if corruption and the careless government are firmly handled.

In a post distributed in its official X grip on Sunday, Obi emphasized the urgent need to refer to the focus on investment aimed at development priorities.

“I share insight from my political journey, highlighting the challenges and opportunities that come by serving the public. I maintain that Nigeria, and indeed Africa, can work for everyone if we dismantle corruption and hobby in government,” he wrote.

Obi made a statement while reflecting his new speech at the “African Together Conference” held at the University of Cambridge, England, where he talked to African leaders who aspire high with the theme *’Making African President in the future.’

“Yesterday, at the University of Cambridge, England, I was honored by the invitation to talk to African youths at the African Together conference that marked ‘Making African future presidents.'”

He described his interaction with young people as motivating and hoping for the future of Africa.

“I like to interact with young people taken from different African countries and eager to make positive differences in society. I am inspired by the energy and determination of these young leaders, and I remain committed to empowering them to shape the future of Africa.”

During his involvement, Obi stressed the importance of investing in core sectors such as education, health care, and poverty alleviation, describing them as a pillar of sustainable development.

“Our discussion is centered on the path to dismantle corruption and build a better future for our continent. I reiterate how to invest in the critical field of human and national development, education, health, and attract people out of poverty can encourage indispensable growth and development in any country and continent.”

Drawing comparisons with countries that have achieved rapid development, Obi refers to the model in Asia as an example of what can be achieved by visionary leadership.

“With competent, committed, and loving leadership, Nigeria can be a few hope, and Africa will rise into a global economic power plant,” he stressed.

He gave gratitude to the organizer of the event and reaffirmed the role of inclusive governance in building a better country.

“I thank the African community, Cambridge University, for hosting this important event, and I also respect young leaders who participated with such great enthusiasm and dedication.”

Obi ended with an invitation to act for citizens to take Nigerian future ownership by actively demanding accountability in leadership.

“When we are trying to build a new Nigeria, we must all be involved in this important nation development process by ensuring that only leaders are competent, able, committed to the character and integrity chosen as public offices,” he on average.
