Air Staff Chief, Marshall Hassan Abubakar, said on Tuesday that the Nigerian Air Force (Naf) was deployed to various operating theater in the country that killed at least 592 Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State in the last eight months.
Abubakar, according to a statement issued by the Director of Information and Community Relations Naf, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, stated this during the visit of politeness to the Governor of the State of Borno, Babagana Zulum, at the Government Building in Maiduguri.
CAS revealed that the troops destroyed 372 enemy assets during the period.
According to him, the troops destroyed 206 technical vehicles and 166 logistics centers in hostile areas, with a day-to-nights attack coordinated from Gonori to Rann, Dikwa to Damboa, Azir to Mallam Fatori.
He said offensive had been driven by the distribution of Super Tucano A-29 aircraft capable of precision and night missions, MI-171 helicopters for medical evacuation and logistics, and increasing intelligence, supervision, and reconnaissance platforms for target tracking all the time.
Abubakar added that the new MI-35 warship was expected to be further intensifying close air support for land forces in the theater.

He said: “Supported by an upgraded fleet and the ability to strike precision night, Naf’s aircraft executed 798 combat combat, recorded more than 1,500 hours of operational flight in the Hadin Kai operation air component.
“This year, our air war is faster, sharper, and more surgery.
“We take a high -value target, paralyze their logistics, and hunt every cell that threatens northeast peace.”
In his response, Governor Zulum praised Naf for sustainable air support in demeaning terrorist abilities and protecting the community.
He stressed that Naf had become a firm partner in their struggle against the rebellion.
