A court of the magistrates of Ikeja sitting in Ogba, in the state of Lagos, resigned on Wednesday Comfort Emmanson, the passenger accused of unruly behavior and assault on an Ibom air flight.
Emmanson was accused on Monday with a position of five counts presented by the police. The magistrate Holrewaju Salami had granted his deposit N500,000 but ordered his mandate to the Kirikiri Correctional Center after he had not been able to meet the conditions.
However, the case was withdrawn on Wednesday after the accusation, led by Oluwabunmi Adeitan, applied to the court for his interruption.
The development followed the decision of the federal government to abandon the accusations. The Airospace Development Minister, Festus Keyamo (San), who announced the move, said that he arrived after a revision of the accident, appeals of the Nigerians concerned and the expression of remorse by the people involved.
