The Community of Umuapu in the area of the Council of Ohaji/Egrabed of the State of Imo appealed to the Governor hopes that Uzodimma calls those responsible for a strong invasion/acquisition of their ancestral agricultural lands to order
The appeal arrived during an enlarged leader of leaders, elderly, Ndi Nzes, Na Ozors, the high priest, women and young people of Umuokom/Umuogbuehi-Umuapu, held on Friday at the community.
Telling to journalists during the meeting, the former legislator who represented the electoral college of the State of Ohaji/Egbema at the Chamber of the Assembly of the Hon. Luke Chukwu advised the Governor to establish the Investigation Committee to carry out the WHOLLISTICE investigations that has foiled the question of the land.
Hon. Chukwu insisted that the governor’s failure to do the necessary would have justified the community to combine on the road to protest to transmit their grace.
He said: “We believe that the governor does not know what is happening, but let his people read the newspapers and tell him what the people of Umuapu is saying”.
The former legislator insisted that the 500 hecter of land in question located along Owerri/Port Harcurt Express High Way at a border with the Nkaraha community belong to the Umuogbuehi village in the Umuapu community and cannot be claimed by a person.
The two -time executive president of Ohaji/Egbema LGA recalled how the Nkaraha people arrived at the village of Umuogbuehi in Umuapu years ago to ask for a part of the earth to cultivate in front of the federal government through the national crops that they later retired from the earth acquired the earth.
He also declared that it was the same period in which the CEO of Marcon Group of Company came to acquire the land under the yeast agreements for 30 years which was subsequently renewed for another 30 years.

He recalled how Matthew Apkelu the acclaimed owner of the Earth died a few days after taking an oat.
Obikwu recommended to people who described as a ground to desist from the earth because it does not belong to them.
He said: “The people of Nkaraha and Umuapu has never had problems before in the past”.
The vice -president of the Obiwuruotu Women Association, Umuapu, Mrs. Rosemary Ajoku said they are ready to die on the aforementioned land.
He said as farmers, they are not happy with the situation by adding that the strong acquisition of the earth will deny them access to the accrostal lands where they cultivate food to eat
The women appealed to the people responsible for the illegal and strong acquisition of the earth to leave the earth for their interest.
