The International Press Center (IPC), Lagos, Nigeria expressed sadness for the premature permanence of Evelyn Osagie, who until his disappearance was not a senior correspondent with the national newspaper.

The executive director of the IPC, Lanre Arogundade, in a declaration, said: “The death of Evelyn Osagie is a huge loss for the community of journalism. He was a renowned journalist, who through his inclusive relationships has amplified the voice of women throughout the line”.
The IPC observed that its journalism was not only a report but defense: to guide conversations and stimulating actions.
“We will remember in particular Evelyn for its exceptional contributions to the recent IPC and Nawoj interface supported by the European Union in Port Harcourt for creating a qualifying environment in the editorial staff for the inclusive reporting of women’s problems during the electoral processes and elections. 2027,” said Arogundade.
