Jamb to review 2025 UTME results following the complaints of technical obstacles

The Joint Revenue and Matriculation Council (Jamb) will review the results of 2025 Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that had just been concluded after the complaints of technical obstacles by the candidates.

The candidates blame the technical obstacles for their disappointing performance in the exam.

In a statement issued on Monday by his public communication advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the council said that he had begun to review the results released on Friday that the annual system reviewed to implement a comprehensive post-mortem from the inspection process.

The statement reads: “The Joint Revenue and Matriculation Council (Jamb) recognizes the significant volume of unusual complaints after the release of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which was officially issued last Friday.

“In response, the council quickly continues the review of its annual-post-mem-mortem system from the inspection process which is carried out every year after training.

“The annual review of the council includes three main stages: registration, examination, and release results. During the examination phase, Jamb ensured that each candidate was given the opportunity to take the test. If there were technical problems that arose, the council re -scheduled the examination for the affected candidate without hesitation.

“We are very concerned about unusual complaints originating from several states in the federation. We are currently examining this complaint in detail to identify and correct potential technical problems.

“To assist in this process, we have involved a number of experts, including members of the Nigerian computer professional association, the Head of External Examiner, who is the Head of the Tertiary Institution, Educational Assessment and Research Network in Africa, Measurement Experts, and Deputy Chancellors from various institutions.

“If it is determined that there is indeed a disturbance, we will immediately apply the appropriate improvement steps, as we did in the examination case itself.”
