Kaduna: for President Tinubu, a sensational political validation, on Sunday Osa. – Thage

It was another trip to Kaduna by President Bola Tinubu. It was to demonstrate the depth of friendship and show the value of the commitment for the bonds that bind. Once the undisputed epicenter of northern Nigeria politics, Kaduna still retains his aura as a crogiol of power and influence in the region. More than a city, Kaduna is the spiritual and intellectual dwelling of the North – a melting pot where history, politics and culture intersect.

Kaduna hosts the famous Arewa House, the intellectual sanctuary dedicated to the study and conservation of the history of northern Nigeria. It was here that the foundations of northern political consciousness were forged. From 1917 to 1967, Kaduna served as the capital of the old northern region, the administrative heart rate of half of Nigeria. Abuja could be the seat of federal power now, but Kaduna was once the furnace from which national leadership was modeled.

This is the city that gave birth to the famous Kaduna mafia – a loose but powerful network of northern, political, military brass and businessmen who have quietly modeled the recruitment of policies and leadership in Nigeria, also defending the interests of the North for decades.

Kaduna is also the city of Sardauna, Sir Ahmadu and its contemporaries: Ali Akilu, Hassan Katsina, RB Dikko and subsequently, the historic scholar Bala Usman. It is the spiritual basis of the Consultative Forum of Arewa (ACF) and the political launch pad of the deceased president Muhammadu Buhari, whose brought through the North – and in fact Nigeria – has no equal in modern times.

From time to time, Kaduna was the place where the North retires to recalibrate and relaunch, both during the military era in which the key decisions were brood in the smoky rooms or in the democratic pantry when the alignments and realignments found their root. From the crises resolved within its walls to the alliances born in its corridors, the kaduna pedigree as a praise of northern politics remains unchallenged.

It was in this political environment loaded, months after the opponents had smoothed at the narratives of hostility, that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu chose to walk bravely. The whispers of “a no-go area” were hung in the air: the opposition had released a conspiracy message that the North “hated” Tinubu and the support base APC would have abandoned it in the future elections. But the president, faithful to his character, came without fear – bringing with him the fruits of loyalty to old friendships and evidence of healthy policies that begin to touch life.

Miti breaking in a few hours:

In less than five hours, the long -lasting myths have melted, the stereotypes have broken and the feelings have moved. From roads to mosques, the connection between the people and their president was instantaneous. The excitement was palpable, their wide smiles, their strong songs. Kaduna – once whispered as hostile ground – showed love, loyalty and warmth.

President Tinubu moved with Aplomb, from a wedding ceremony to a visit to condolences, demonstrating not only his respect for tradition, but also his personal touch as a leader. With joy and pain, he stopped with the people, embodying the compassion and humility envisaged by the real statistics. Kaduna heard him; Nigeria saw him.

Politics without bitterness:

Perhaps the most symbolic moment came to the Mosque of Sultan Bello. There, the political giants of the whole spectrum met – from the PDP to work, from the Adc to the Stalwarts APC. Among these was the former Governor of the State of Jigawa, Alhaji Sule Lamido, a old critic and one of the most ferocious opponents of Tinubu. Only weeks earlier, Lamido had falsely accused Tinubu of supporting the cancellation of the elections of 12 June 1993 – an accusation that was without base.

Yet, when Lamido approached, President Tinubu did not retire, nor offered a cold shoulder. Instead, he welcomed him with an expansive smile and abundant laugh. Their exchange was short, warm and told. For many within that mosque, it was a masterclass in citizens’ diplomacy, showing that politics can be practiced without bitterness.

He was also deeply symbolic: once Lamido himself had been national secretary in the days of Senator Tinubu of the Social Democratic Party. The gesture of the President’s Campass sent a powerful signal. The leadership has shown, it does not concern the grudges but the construction of bridges.

The effect was immediate. The politicians present and hardened veterans of the northern firmament, saw a safe president in his mandate and magnanimous in his relationships. It was a subtle but strong reminder: Tinubu is president of all Nigerians, not only for his supporters.

The power of friendship and loyalty:

The visit was crowned by an emotional stop at the home of the late president Muhammadu Buhari. After a burial suitable for Daura and a special FEC in her honor, Tinubu’s journey to Kaduna to console Buhari’s widow and the family underlined one of its decisive traits: loyalty.

He didn’t go alone. The Governor of the State of Kaduna opened the road, flanked by governors of Ondo, Kwara, Niger, Sokoto and four former Governors of Zamfara. The vice -president of the Senate Barau and the leader of the majority of the Senate Bamidele were also present. It was a solidarity show that crossed the regions and political lines: a testimony of respect for Bohari commanded and the Love Tinubu preserves.

Kaduna as a metaphor for the political refinement of the North:

Kaduna’s story has always been of refinement, strategy and symbolism. The political pedigree of the city has no equal; His corridors abounded by the bequests of the giants. The visit of the president Tinubu has drawn this inheritance – not as a stranger, but as a leader with cosmopolitan support, divisions filling, disarming critical and reaffirmed friendships.

Kaduna’s lesson is clear: Nigerian politics, at best, concerns maturity, tolerance and loyalty. These are recalibration, non -recrimination, unit, non -division. And in Kaduna, the North delivered a sensational message – which behind the president Tinubu is not only a mandate, but a coalition rooted in history, friendship and shared fate.

Kaduna has become once again. And in his rebirth, he offered Nigeria a look at the leadership he asks for the times and promise of the support of one of the most sophisticated political blocks of the continent.
