It was the blitz, the camera and the action while Kano Pillars beat Plateau United at the 2025 edition of the Gusau/Ahlancup25 at the magnificent stage of City Lafia.

The game that pulled out of the world from all over the world saw the pillars dominating the first procedures but was unable to break the head of the defense of the former Akwa United Ace in Wisdom Ndon who formed an uninhabitable partnership with Joshua Dabo.

Speaking after the game, Salisu Usman Galadima thanked the executive governor of the state of Nasarawa, Abdullahi sule for accepting to host the tournament and also Ibrahim Gusau (president of the NFF) for accepting the event in the state of Nasarawa.

“The state of Nasarawa has shown that it is really the center of sport in the country”.

“We have successfully hosted one of the best pre -arson tournaments in Nigeria and we will continue to develop the success of today’s tournament, he concluded”.

Abahuraira Dahiru (Cordinator) said she was euphoric to have completed the tournament without hitches.

“The state of Nasarawa has hosted the best Gusau Ahlan Cup since I became the coordinator and it will be something to joyfully see the event again hosting the event”.

“We have seen more than 10 days of pure football bliss and the welcome has come from the good people of the stay will encourage us only to want to return to Lafia again, if not for football reasons, then it will do so for the beautiful people of the state, he revealed”.

Umar Aliyu won the golden boot while the best goal went to Abuchi Destiny (even if not presented) while the best striker team went to Nasarawa United for scoring 10 goals in the tournament.

The Dignitaries at the Grand Final included Engr. Abdullahi Sule (Governor, State of Nasarawa), Alhaji Sheru Ahlan Inuwa (member of the Board of Directors Nff, head of the NFF Technical Committee), Babagana Kalli (member of the Board of Directors NFF/ President Commissioner Commissioner), Otunba Elegbeye (according to President/ President NPFL), Davidson Owmi (COO NPFL), Jon. Silas Agara (Member of the Council/ President NLO), Hon. Kwanta Yakubu Boha (Sport Commissioner, Nasarawa State), Barr. Isaac Danladi (Commissioner for Justice, State of Nasarawa), Rh. Dr. Aliyu Bello Phd (APC Nasarawa State), State President does as they were hosted by Salisu Usman Galadima, president of Nasarawa State Football Association.
