The educationist urges parents to give priority to investments in children’s education
The schools of Lyceum, a group of private ownership educational institutions under the Lyceum Foundation, held a colorful degree ceremony on Saturday at the Obasanjo Obasanjo (Oopl), Abeokuta presidential library, with a strong appeal to parents to increase their investments in the education of their children.
The President of the Foundation, Mr. Adeyinka Ola-Williams, while it is aimed at parents, pupils and dignitaries during the event, stressed that the expense for children’s education is the most rewarding investment that each parent can make.
“No investment in your child’s education is a waste,” he said.
“The best investment you can ever do is to give your child of quality and quantitative education. Don’t joke with the future of your children.”
Ola-Williams has reiterated the commitment of the Lyceum schools, including the Lyceum Montessori school, the Lyceum College, the Lyceum Pre-University and the Lyceum Special School-to provide high-level educational services.
He also revealed that the Foundation’s expansion plans were underway in the United Kingdom, with relevant documentation already guaranteed.
He described his degree as a testimony of the dedication of the institution to the academic excellence and holistic development of young students.
Speaking to the event, the president of the Ogun State of the academic union of secondary schools (ASUSUS), Felix Agbesanwa, accused the graduate pupils to dream big and remain focused on their academic journey. He also encouraged parents to do everything within their ability to ensure that their children receive quality education.
In his message of goodwill, Owu’s Olowu, Oba Saka Matemilola, praised the foundation’s efforts in modeling the future leaders.
The monarch, represented by the surveyor Fashina Olajide, urged the management of schools to support their high standards and not to give up their commitment to excellence.
The degree presented a series of intellectual exhibitions, cultural presentations and vibrant choreography by pupils, who were taken from various degree classes including the kindergarten, Primary, Jss 3 and SS3.
The event aroused admiration by parents and guests who praised the quality of education and discipline instilled in pupils.
