Mahama to Tinubu: There is no room for Xenophobia in Ghana

President Ghana, John Mahama, has reiterated the country’s commitment to the economic community of the West African state protocol (Ecowas), saying there is no place for Xenophobia in the country.

Mahama stated this when she received a special messenger from the President of Bola Tinubu, led by the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, at the Presidential Palace in ACCRA.

Mahama asked the messenger to convey his message to the President of Tinubu not to lose sleep for new protests to the Nigerians who live in their country.

He emphasized that Nigeria and Ghana were brothers with shared history and would not let anything come between them.

The leader of Ghana stated again that the old video recirculation made by a Nigerian who lived in Ghana more than 10 years ago really produced tension, but was happy to announce that the situation was quickly managed.

Mahama, who said the protesters did not feel up to 50, convinced the messenger of the safety and protection of life, property, and business of Nigeria and Nigeria in Ghana.

On his party, Odumegwu-Ojukwu thanked President Mahama for his hospitality, said the mission of the messenger was to extinguish tensions in Ghana after a viral video against Nigeria.

“We encourage our young people to live in Nigeria, and if necessary to migrate, they must become great ambassadors,” he said.
