Mohamed Salah has confirmed he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season.
Despite signing a new contract last year, the Egyptian king has confirmed that he will leave the club at the end of the season.
The attacker confirmed the decision on his X account, where he said:
“Hello everyone, unfortunately the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell. I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.
“I never imagined how deeply this club, this city and these people would become a part of my life.
“Liverpool is not just a football club. It’s a passion, a history, a spirit. I can’t explain it in words.
“We won the most important trophies and fought together in the most difficult moment of my life. I want to thank everyone who has been part of this club during my time here.
“I don’t have enough words. The support you showed me carried me through the best moments of my career and stood by me in the most difficult times. I will never forget it.

“Leaving is never easy. I will always be one of you and this club will always be home for me and my family. Thank you for everything. Thanks to all of you, I will never walk alone.”
The 33-year-old became a club icon during his nine-year spell. He played 435 games for the club in all competitions, scoring 255 goals and assisting a further 119.
Salah won everything. Two Premier League titles, one Champions League, one FA Cup, two Carabao Cups, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Despite his struggles this season, the void he leaves will simply never be filled. Now it’s time to soak in every minute we have with the legend himself.
