NAF redemption promises made to the victims of the accidental air attacks of Zamfara

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has kept promises made to the victims and families affected by an accidental air attack in the village of Dangebe, in the area of ​​the local government of Maradun, in the state of Zamfara, which occurred on 11 January 2025.

An NAF Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame spokesman’s statement Wednesday, said that the gesture is a demonstration of empathy, responsibility and unwavering commitment for the well -being of civilians.

He said that following the accident, the head of the aerial staff (CAS), the aerial marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, sent a committee of high officials to find visits of facts and subsequently embarked on a visit of condolences to Zamfara on March 6, 2025, where he met survivors, families in mourning and members of the affected community.

“During the emotionally charged visit, the CAS recognized the pain, pain and interruption caused by the accident and promised different immediate measures and long -term to help relieve the suffering of the affected people,” he said.

According to him, among the promises made there were the supply of financial support to the families of the deceased, the reconstruction of the damaged building in the village, the replacement of the two destroyed motorcycles and the construction of a well in the nearby village of Kambarawa to provide drinking water to all the surrounding communities.

β€œThese efforts are part of the wider civil-military commitment strategy of the NAF, which tries to encourage trust, healing and cooperation with the host communities in the areas affected by conflicts.

β€œIt is moving to announce that the Nigerian aeronautics has maintained every word of its commitment. The reconstruction of the damaged building has been completed, while 2 brand new motorcycles were delivered to their legitimate owners.

“In addition, the promised well has been successfully perforated and now the village of Kambarawa and the surrounding settlements, providing clean and accessible water to hundreds of residents, is needed,” he said.

He added that the funds were also completely disbursed to the victims and their families to help their recovery and reconstruct their lives.

He said in response, the families affected and the members of the community expressed gratitude to NAF for his sincerity, compassion and rapid fulfillment of the promises.

He said: β€œThe leaders of the community and residents praised the service not only for having recognized the tragic accident, but for having taken concrete measures to bring healing and hope.

“These actions reflect the values ​​of professionalism, responsibility and respect for human dignity.

β€œFor the NAF, protecting the life and property of the Nigerians is not just a constitutional duty; it is a sacred trust.
