Naf reportedly killed 95 terrorist suspects in Niger’s air strikes

The Yamma Fasan Operation Air Component is reported to have killed 95 terrorist suspects in large air strikes around the villages of Ragada and Warari in the Rira Urpting Regional Government in Niger states on Tuesday.

A source told reporters on Wednesday that the Nigerian Air Force (Naf) fighter jets intercepted the terrorists on their way from Zamfara around 3:00 pm on Tuesday.

He said the bandits moved from the Zamfara axis through the Kebbi state to Niger when they met their waterloo.

“The investigation conducted revealed that the bandits moved with 108 motorbikes armed with sophisticated weapons, and were on their way to Warari and the Riraki Regional Government in Niger.

“It has been confirmed that of 108 bandits, motorbikes with only 13 bandits escaped, but the rest were neutralized.

“The residence of the villages of Makuku, Warari, and Ragada in the Rujang regional government has expressed their happiness and appreciation of the commitment of the federal government in the ongoing struggle against bandits and other criminal elements in the northwest of general,” he said.
