Naira records a two-week depreciation in the official market

The Naira depreciated further in the official market on Friday, trading at N1,393.25 against the US dollar.

According to data released on the official website of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Naira lost N5.80.

This represents a loss of 0.4% compared to Thursday when the local currency was trading at N1387.44 against the dollar.

Even the Naira, which depreciated for a week, went into free fall the previous week.

On Monday, March 2, 2026, the Naira traded at N1,378.02 per dollar.

On Tuesday, the local currency traded at N1,384.29, while on Wednesday, it traded at N1,387.09.
