Naira spilled N16 against the dollar in the official window

The Nigerian currency, Naira, released N16.63 against the dollar in an official window on Friday.

Nigerian central bank data (CBN) shows that Naira was closed on N1.549.36/$ 1 compared to N1.539.72/$ 1 which was traded on Wednesday.

This is the loss of N16.63 for local currencies against American Greenback.

In the black market, Naira obtained an N5 against the dollar to trade at N1.610/$ 1, compared to the previous day level N1.615/$ 1.

Naira obtained N20 against British pounds to trade at N2.160/£ 1 the same as the previous N2.180/£ 1.

Likewise, the local currency obtained the N20 against the Canadian dollar to be traded at N1.200/Ca $ 1, compared to the previous day level N1.220/Ca $ 1.

However, it was closed flat against the euro to trade in ₦ 1,800/€ 1.
