The Council of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has granted the provisional approval for the supporters of Nasarawa United to return during the team’s home games in Lafia.
The supporters were previously banned from the Lafia Township Stadium due to the bad conduct during one of the club’s home devices at the beginning of the season.
This approval was confirmed in a declaration issued by Eche Amos, director of the media of Nasarawa United, and shared with journalists on Saturday in Lafia.
Amos stated that the letter of approval of the NPFL was sent by Davidson Owumi, operational director of the League’s organism, Saturday.
He added that the approval is subject to continuous monitoring to evaluate the effectiveness of the safety measures as the season advances.
The directive becomes effective from 32 of the match-day, when on Sunday the guest of Nasarawa United Akwa United.
“We are pleased to invite our faithful supporters to return and rejoice the team to victory in an orderly way,” said Amos.
He also expressed gratitude to fans for their patience and urged them to respect all the security and safety protocols during the games.
The club has also ensured that it will work closely with the Nasarawa State Football Association to guarantee adequate security in the days of the matches.
