NCAA Petition: PGI EGBETOKUN directs the Airport Police Command to investigate Wasiu Ayinde Marshal

Nigeria’s police forces received an official petition from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for an alleged accident involving Wasiu Ayinde’s Mareu Marshal (popularly known as Kwam 1). He is accused of engaging in an unruly conduct that presumably hindered the safe operation of a plane, in violation of the Nigerian regulations for civil aviation, 2023 following an accident reported on August 5, 2025 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

In response, the police inspector general, PGI Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, directed the police commissioner, the airport command, to immediately start an in -depth investigation on the matter, to reveal the circumstances that led to bad accidents and make sure that justice is served accordingly.

The force ensures its commitment to the public to support safety in the Nigeria aviation sector, while ensuring the parties concerned in the sector of a better collaboration towards aviation safety and rigorous respect for the laws of aviation.
