The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has recovered about 86,000 opiate pills and arrested four suspicions in relation to drugs seized in the state of Katsina.
The director of Ndlea, Media and Advocacy, Mr. Femi Babafemi said this in a statement, Sunday in Abuja.
Babafemi said the four suspicions were arrested and held on Friday 28 March.
This, he said, was during a Raid operation led the intelligence in the village of Godii to Daura Lga, Katisna, where 684 blocks of tablet were also recovered, a cannabis voltage that weighs 423 kg was recovered
“In addition to the 86,000 diazepam pills that have all been recovered by them.
“The three suspicions were arrested while the diazepam tablets are reiterated in other containers while the female suspicion was arrested with the pumulles of Skunk in his home,” he said.
According to him, no less than 13,198 kilograms of cannabis sativa were destroyed in the Edo forests through parts of the State between Monday 24 March and Friday 28 March by the agents Ndlea.
Babafemi said that the agents also evacuated 158 kg of the same substance for possible criminal actions.
In the same way, he said that the agents discovered and destroyed no less than four cannabis plantations in the Uhen forest, Ovia North East LGA; Sobe, Owan West Lga; and Amahor Forest in Igueben LGA.
“In addition, in the Niger, the officers of Ndlea of patrol along Mokwa-Jebba Road on March 28, intercepted a carla with Toyota Black marked with SLM 137 SV and arrested the two occupants.
“The two suspicions were in possession of 179 blocks of compressed skunk with a total weight of 77.6 kg hidden in the false bottom of the vehicle.
“In another operation, 50 kg of Skunk was located on Saturday 29 March recovered from the house of a suspicion, which is currently in general, in the village of Wawa, in the area of the Borgu of the State.
“108.5 kg of Skunk were recovered from the block shops at the New Market Aria, to Enugu Metropolis, in the state of Enugu, by the agents ndlea on Tuesday 25 March.
“Another 25 kg of the same substance was seized by another suspicion in the Kilako area in Ilorin, Kwara on March 24th.
“A 59 -year -old suspicion was captured with 2.5 kilograms of Forte Ghanase and 515 grams of Colorado, in the area of the Olomi Academy of Ibadan, in the state of Oyo,” he said.
He observed that with the same vigor, the agency’s commands and formations throughout the country would continue their war against drug abuse (Wada).
“Activities for schools, centers of worship, workplaces and communities among others last week,” he said.
“These include the Wada awareness lesson for the students and staff of Blessed Martins International School, Abakaliki, Ebonyi.
“Others are, Model Ideal College, Enugu; Oto-Awori Senior Secondary School, Ijanikin, Lagos State; and the secondary school school, Numan, Adamawa, among others.
