NGX: Investors get the N833BN while running the equity market continues

The equity market has a profitable trading session on Thursday, July 17, 2025, when investors at the Nigerian equity market obtained N833 billion when the stock exchange maintained its bullish escape.

This follows the surge in stock prices such as Bua Cement PLC (Buacement), Dangote Cement (Dangcem), and Chams PLC (Chams), among others, on the trading floor.

The All-Share Index (ASI) benchmark increased to 130,283.86 points from 128,967.08 points recorded on the previous trading day.

After five hours of trading in the capital market, the capitalization of equity increased to N82,417 trillion from N81,584 trillion recorded by the Exchange on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

The extent of the negative market, with 30 advanced shares, 46 shares declined, and the remaining 67 shares did not change in 37,418 offers.

Bua Cement PLC (Buacement), Dangote Cement (Dangcem), and Chams PLC (CHAMS) leads other retaining with 10%, 9.99%, growth of 9.96%each in the price closed at N112.20, N473.30, and N3.09 from N102.00 Previously, N430.30.30.30 and N2.81 per share.

Berger Paints (Berger), Haldane McCall (HMCall) May and Baker PLC (Maybaker) lead other prices with a decrease in 10% in stock prices to be closed at N33.75, N4.68 and N15.30 from N37.50, N5.20 and N17.00 per previous share.

On the volume index, the Access Holdings PLC (Accesscorp) led trade with 168 million shares in 2,889 offers, followed by First Bank Holding Co (Firstholdco), which was traded 86 million shares in 1,454 agreements.

Zenith Bank PLC (Zenithbank), traded 83 million shares in 2,118 agreements.

In the value index, Zenith Bank PLC (Zenithbank), emerged as the top stock traded, gathered N6.2 billion in 2,118 agreements, followed by Nigerian Brewers PLC (NB), who traded equity worth N5.0 billion in 387 agreements.

Access Holdings PLC (Accesscorp) shares traded worth N4.6 billion in 2,889 offers.
